The little Waiter Boy...

Is there something that you see or hear and it always reminds you of something! I have tons of things or songs that do that and it cracks me up because it can be the smallest things that catch my attention and remind me of something or someone! Here are a few of many...

Every time I see a ladybug or anything ladybug I think of my Pap-paw! When I moved into my first apartment I got this super cute Pottery Barn shower curtain and it had little ladybugs on it and my Pap-paw would get me random Ladybug things. If you knew my Pap-Paw you would know it was a big deal to buy things he never shopped!! So these items that he gave me mean the world to me now but every time I see anything Ladybug I think of my sweet Pap-Paw.

When I see a red bird I think of my MaMa(my grannys Mom) she collected them and had tons of them! She was so cute and I loved her very much I am very lucky that I was able to know all of my Moms grandparents. She was so funny she would write peoples names one the back of different items and so when she passed away she had left something to everyone. I like it because she wrote my name on something and now I have something that I know she wanted me to have.

Everytime I see a go-cart I think of my little brother and crack up! My dad surprised him one Christmas with a go-kart and you guessed it the first time I drove it I ran it right into the fence and tore the front off! I mean seriously I am lucky that Ryan will still talk to me after that... it was devastating to him! LOL....

Everytime I drive past our old house I think of two things. 1- My mom falling in the driveway...oh goodness it was funny! She was getting out of the car and fell on the driveway because it was raining and it was slippery and I lost it I couldnt do anything but laugh... so funny! and 2 I think about my little Ace! That sweet thing I swear that that dog was so proud of himself when he got big enough to run up and down the stairs there you could just see it in his eyes that he was so proud!!

Everytime I hear the Dixie Chicks song "Ready to Run" I think of my friend Darci! We were in college and she got a speeding ticket and she was like oh man I am nervous we need a fast song and cranked up the radio and that song was playing! If you know Darci that will be funny... she is so funny! Oh man she would get me in the craziest things in college, fun times!

Everytime I see the turn top Gatorade bottles I think of Steph. I can barely type this for laughing. We were in the car on the way to the airport in New York and we were trying to figure out how to drink out of those bottles without making a noise well of course I started laughing and we both spit that Gatorade all over her mom and aunt oh my goodness it was so funny!

When I see Ghiradelli chocolate I think of my Dad and Steph. We were in San Fran and decided to go to Ghiradelli and get ice cream well the little waiter boy came out and brought out our order and he had some serious BO and I said something about it well I guess Dad didnt hear me and literally like 10 minutes later Dad was like " Wooo that boy stinks..." Oh goodness let me tell you I laughed uncontrollably for like 3o minutes after that...People were staring. I dont know why I thought it was so funny but just thinking about it makes me laugh out loud!!!

Everytime I watch a Titans game I think of my Granny! Let me tell you she wanted to go to an NFL game bad! Well I got us tickets and yup we were 3 seats down from the very top and it was HOT I mean we were sitting next to the sun practically! I thought I was going to die it was so hot and of course we were crammed in our row and poor Granny is smashed up to the big drunk loud football fan! He told her everything and anything he thought she should know, keep in mind that he is talking to my Granny who hasnt had a beer well probably ever. It is funny now but wasnt then but everytime I watch a Titans game I think of that.

The whole reason I wrote all this is because I drive by the Longhorns in Brentwood and everytime I pass it I think of Clif. We used to eat there all the time and everytime I would drag him into Target that was next door. Poor guy didnt have a chance but really deep down I think he kind of liked it. Another thing that made me think to write this was today I saw something with Baptist hospital on it at work and I laughed out loud of thinking of Clif. It was after my wreck and they were transferring me to a different room and this little old lady was pushing my wheelchair, Mom was there and Clif was holding my IV bag and my purse(funny I know) well anyways blood started backing up in the IV and clif does this stupid fake laugh and he did it then(by the way we were in an elevator) and that little old lady looked at him and started laughing and Clif was still doing that stupid loud fake laugh and Mom was just standing there staring at them...oh goodness it was to funny!

Well this really is a pointless post but WOW it made me laugh...

MoViNg...

Honestly this is the first time this week that I have sat with nothing to do!

I am loving my job so far! Its so great and I love the challenge. I have learned, been challenged and made new friends all in my first week. Everyone is so super nice and so very helpful. I am glad that the first week is over because that means its time to get down to business. We have a huge retreat coming up so we have been getting ready for that on top of all the other work that has to be done. I have sat in on meetings and I love the design meetings, it gets my mind going. Anyways I appreciate everyone who emailed me and asked me about my week and wishing me good luck!

Well I am about to make me next adventure and thats MOVING! I have a lot of choices to make with this decision so I will let you know when things are changing. Oh goodness I have a lot of stuff to move so I will be doing some serious Craigslisting to try and downsize!

I have to say that I was super sad to hear about Dj AM passing away. For some reason I followed him along the way of his career-he has accomplished alot and made a name for himself and then survived that plane crash. I think it just makes me realize that even though they are famous they still struggle just like we do.

I am off to watch some mindless TV and do nothing until I am off to bed. Oh yeah I am back on my gym routine just letting you know in case you wondering.

Goodwilling...

Helllooo blog world! Well my "staycation" is OVER!! Back to the routine and the real world and I am ready!! I am ready to get busy and enter the corporate world(oh goodness what will I wear)!

Today I have been cleaning, throwing away, Goodwilling, organizing... its stuff that I should have been doing all week!

Yesterday I saw this...

it was great! I loved it! Its about cooking and blogging and I like both of those things so it was great!

My dad was in town this past week and he lost his phone on Thursday night and he was flying out first thing Friday morning. So I got up Friday and went on the hunt for the Blackberry(my Dad is like me he loves the Blackberry-I hinted a little panic when he realized it was missing-he was flagging me down in the Mexican Restaurant parking lot to look in my car-I on the other hand would have been screaming and crying if I lost the iPhone)-we were pretty sure we knew where it was it was just the fact of getting in there to get it!! Let me tell you it was an all day ordeal to get that phone back and when I finally did it was to late to overnight it!!! I took it to ship and the girl at FedEx was like you can pay $38 to try and have it there by Monday(try being the key word)! She couldnt get promise me it would be there! Why would I pay that and you cant even get it there!! Off to the trusty ole' post office I went for the third time that day! They guy was super nice I paid $5 and it will be there Monday-thats how I like to do business minus the 15 minute line I had to wait in there!

Stephanie my little world traveler is off to the big Italy tomorrow-can you believe she isnt going to be here this week to listen to all my complaining, I wonder if Drew will listen???? She is headed there with her Mom for a work thing- they teach Pilate's thats why they get to go to the cool places! I totally invited myself and I told her Mom I was a better traveler and I could go in Stephs place but lets face it I dont know much about Pilate's(is that how you even spell it). Anyways I am gonna miss her and say a little prayer for them to be safe!!

I only took a short break from all my cleaning, throwing away, Goodwilling, organizing... to post a short post! Maybe just maybe I will do a my favorite things post tomorrow! I dont really follow football that much but isnt it weird that Brett Favre keeps retiring and then coming back to play??

I think Rachel Zoe has the best job ever,she is a celebrity stylist! Of course she has a show and I am fired up that its coming back on soon!!

John Edwards makes me sick! I feel so bad for his wife, I cant imagine what his wife is going thru!

I am tired of hearing about this bozo! Its time to let him RIP!!!

I know she is a loony tune but I am going to miss her on American Idol... she is just part of that show.

I am so excited that Flipping Out is coming back on I love it!! Check it out on Tuesday night on Bravo!! Oh its great...

RaNdOm...

My blogging has fallen by the wayside lately! There has been lots going on and I havent had lots of extra time! I feel like I have nothing to write about but then again I feel like there is so much to say that I dont even know where to start... This will be a totally random post because I have lots of things swimming around in my head.

• I finally got to go to Cantina Laredo today- Steph and I went there for lunch and it was yummy! We had never been there so we werent really sure what to expect and we decided to share something and we ended up with TONS of food- it was funny. Steph asked the waitress for some to go boxes and ole' girly looked like we had asked her to run outside naked!! Obviously Cantina Laredo doesnt get asked for to go boxes-it was funny!
• Steph cracks me up! I can always talk to her and tell her everything and she will always give me advice! Its funny because I think we different in a lot of way but we are the same in a lot of ways! Its good to know that I have such a great friend!!
• I am a planner- I like to have a plan for EVERYTHING!! I like knowing whats gonna happen, I guess thats why I hate surprises! I had my week all planned out and I found out today there would be some unexpected changes and I got all worked up! I know its crazy and it makes me sound like a total brat BUT I like being prepared and well planned! I say all that to say that I know I need to loosen up and roll with the punches( I can say that all I want but its gonna be hard...)
• I am just going to admit it... I am scared about my new job!! I dont even know what to say about it but I am scared and scared of failing. I have a lot on the line and I have a lot of people that I have to impress.
• I hope that a year from now I am somewhere so different and I can look back and read this and be proud of what I have become in a year
• In the past 6 months or so I am realizing that "stuff" doesnt make me happy or my life better. Isnt it so sad that it has taken me this long to figure that out!!
• Downsizing and organizing is going to become part-time job!
• I found out today that my bladder is no longer in the healing stages-I have a bladder infection. I will find out how bad it is on Wednesday but in the meantime I am back on the medicine full time! Its exhausting dealing with medicine. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and there is some kind of good that comes from every situation but I dont know of any good that came from my wreck.
• I am READY for fall- I love it! I love the colors, the smells, the weather and I LOVE ME SOME TITANS FOOTBALL!!

Is this random enough for you! I have been writing this post all day! I would type a little then leave and come back and type some more so thats one of the reasons its all over the place!!

SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE

I feel like my life has been put in a bucket and shaken up and then tossed out everywhere!! Everything is changing!! Its all new and different! Yes it is exciting but its very scary all at the same time.

On Tuesday I turned my notice in here at school. Its very sad for me because I love the kids and I love the job. I loved to be challenged and let me tell you these kids can be challenging but I need to be challenged in a different way. I took business classes in college as well as computer classes and I loved them . I feel like that every year that goes by I loose a little bit of that knowledge. I have been offered a full time position at PivotHealth as a Marketing Assistant. Its a once in a lifetime opportunity so I am taking it and running with it. Its a position that I can learn with as well as grow with! It will be a huge challenge and I am ready for it.

So I am the one that has shaken up my life so pray for me and pray that I adjust.

Pink tutu...

Its been a super busy weekend but its been fun!! Friday night I went to dinner at Viragos to celebrate Drews birthday! After dinner we went over to Red Door for a drink but I had to leave early because I had to get up super duper early! On Saturday I was off to Miracles to see Miss Brittany and get my hair done! She ROCKS!! I dont think she has ever disappointed me- she cut and colored my hair perfect as usual!!! Its really short this time but I think its cute and I love it! After that I was off to work at PivotHealth and I got A LOT done there so it will make it an easier week, I hope. Then I was off to Opry Mills with everyone else in Nashville celebrating the tax free weekend, then I had some other errands to run and had dinner at Fulins with Mom. I also ran by and saw Little Anniston and let me tell you she is PRECIOUS!! She is so tiny and sweet and very stylish with her little hat! I know that I posted on here for prayers for her and I wanted to Thank Everyone who said a little prayer for her because she happy and healthy and I know Jayne and Jeremy appreciate it as well!! My reason for the visit was to deliver little Anniston her first PINK tutu!! Its so precious and I love it, Thanks Jenny and Joni for making it for me! We tried it on a little friend at school and its so cute...

After my big day on Saturday I was gonna run home and change clothes and go to Drews birthday cookout. I literally fell asleep on the couch with the TV on, lights on and shoes on! Man I am getting old-Needless to say I was in for the night. I am sad because I wanted to go because Stephs family was in town and I love them so I was looking forward to hanging out with them.

Today I had a few errands to run and I had some much over due cleaning to do. Well I did my errands and well thats it I sat down and watched 2 movies!! So its 9pm and I just finished the cleaning and laundry and now I get to get ready to start a new week! Hope you all have a good week everyone!!!

Is it time for bed?

Hi...Hello...Its me!! Did you forget about me! I have been insanely busy!! Working the 2 jobs is getting to me! I mean I havent even talked to Stephanie for longer than 5 minutes this week!! HHAAAA but guess what I am not complaining because I know there are alot of people who are jobless.

My brain is 1000mph so I cant even sit here long enough to tell you everything that I need to tell you!!! So I just wanted to check in and say HI and I am still here!! Now I am off to load the dishwasher, finish ironing, fold towels, pack my stuff up tomorrow and hopefully try to get in bed before midnight!!! I will blog this weekend forsure!!

Happy Birhtday Drew!! Drew is Stephs husband and he is the kinda guy that you hope that your daughter will find and marry!! He is such a nice guy well you know he has to be to put with Steph(HA HA)!! Anyways his birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to wish him Happy Birthday!!

Taking a Minute...

Man its been a busy weekend!! Its been go go go since Wednesday!! Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday emails and facebook birthday wishes!

I had a great birthday this year! Last weekend I went to the movies and Mexican with friends and this weekend I had the family birthday- Thursday at school a sweet little friend in my class and his Mom brought cute B cookies for my birthday so I got to celebrate with them! My friend from work and her twin sister gave me the cutest bag, recipie cards and a cookbook holder-it is all so cute! Thursday night I went to dinner with my Mom, Granny, Ryan, Johnny and Becky then home for cake and presents!! My Granny got me all the Clinique stuff that I use(I have the best Granny), a glass and ladybug Pandora charms and some fun giftcrards!! I have been telling my Mom for months that I wanted a Pandora bracelet and she got me one for my birthday!! I LOVE IT!! She got me the silver bracelet, an owl charm, a dog charm and the turtle charm and some glass charms! My mom is the best and even though we bicker a lot I love her to death!! My little brother got me a super funny birthday card and money but he doesnt know that I am going to turn around and give it back to him when I get him to clean my car for me :)! My sweet Aunt and Uncle gave me money as well, which I will be using at the Gap Friends and Family Sale!!! Yay!! I love my family and I know that I would be no where without them!!
Last night I sat on Moms back porch and gave them all a Facebook/email/Internet/ Blackberry
lesson! It cracks me up with what they need help with but I have to give them all props for trying! I know lots of people that dont even try to use any sort of technology because they think its impossible! I love it and I am always glad to help out!

Well I am headed to Pivot to finish somethings up there and then off to SAMS!!
