With a Cherry on Top

Oh my goodness! The emails, comments, tweets, facebooking make my heart swell! You guys are amazing!! I knew that I could ask you for help! We even got a little tweet action from the Pioneer Woman(lets be honest I love her)! THANK YOU to all the "Big Bloggers" that showed  some Nashville love! It was funny to read the emails about the "Big Bloggers" that I chose- thats not official club or anything they are in that is just what I call them! I have read their blogs for awhile now and I know each one of them are always able to help!

So THANK YOU WITH A CHERRY ON TOP!

Nashville thanks you too! I know we still have a long way to go but we have to have hope! Also thanks for letting me take my anger out you guys this morning!

Hey Beth,

I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers along with the whole state of Tennessee.

I posted about the devastation in your home state tonight on my blog.

I am so glad to see that you took action with your blog! Nashville needs major help and I am still in shock over the lack of national coverage. Been thinking about you---I hope everything out your way is ok and you're staying safe!

I just found your blog through According to Christa.. I live in Decatur County and my sister just moved to Middle TN this past weekend so we have been hearing ALL about it. We also received our record amount of rain and the river is crazy crazy flooded. There are still almost 20 roads completely impassible in my county (which is a lot for us) and there are a lot of people who have lost their homes close to the river. It's terrible because tornadoes have came through our county the past two weekends. I've been keeping up with the flooding in Nashville and it's so sad. Nashville IS the staple for our state! I mean seriously it's the HOME of COUNTRY MUSIC! If it makes you feel better I did see a little bit of coverage on the early show just a few minutes ago, but I think it may have been in Dyersburg. I am praying for all of Nashville and surrounding areas. It will take such a long time to get everything taken care of but Nashville is just that- NASHVILLE. It will come back better than before! :)

My parents are stationed (with the Navy) in Southern Maryland. She says that it is on the news up there and that my Grandmother called from North Carolina and it's all over the news there. A family friend in Reno, NV saw it there and called my parents to make sure we were good. So, It's getting out there, just slowly I guess.

I saw last night on the World News that Katie Couric did a story on Nashville. They had a reporter there showing all the damage. There was one man on there saying that "he knew this wasn't the magnitude of Katrina but it was just as bad and they needed the help". Maybe more help will start making its way to Nashville. Im still praying!!!
