Question?

I have a question today for you!
What is your cleaning schedule?
Do you do stuff through the week and and you are smooth sailing on the weekends or do you let it all go and get caught up over the weekend?
For some reason I cant find a schedule that works for me?
I feel like I work  all week but then I am working all weekend on cleaning and what not.
I am trying to shake it up a little!
For awhile I was doing different things all week so I wouldnt have so much to do on the weekend but lets be honest when I get off work and the fight the traffic for an hour the last thing  I want to do is mop the floor!
But then again there is nothing worse then waking up on Saturday mornings and knowing that you have a couple hours of cleaning to do!
I know that majority have totally stopped reading at this point and I know that I am OCD about this but I need ideas!!! Before you suggest it I am to cheap to get a maid!

Speaking of cleaning I might be buying this so that I will have one more piece of furniture to dust!
I like this desk but its from Target and I am not sure if it would be worth the money???
Does anyone have this?

I love that so many of you emailed me about my friends big news!
I have talked to her about me blogging about it yet but I am so darn excited about it!!!

The cicadas have invaded Nashville and I hate them and they are gross!

thursday is my cleaning day - that way I don't have to spend my weekend cleaning, and it is clean for when company comes (which is usually the weekend).

I do a little straightening, laundry, etc the other days, but Thursday is cleaning bathroom, kitchen, floors, dusting, etc.

Ugh - first I hate cicadas, too! YUCK!

Second - I'll be anxious to read your answers to this one. I don't have a good schedule either, so I just never feel like I finish...very frustrating...sorry I can't offer a suggestion as I need them, too! I've tried to create schedules, but haven't made one a I really stick too yet.

I absolutely LOVE that desk, it's so nice!

We do dusting, floors and bathroom during the week so the weekend is free for other things.

Can't wait for the big news!

Unfortunately we do the cleaning on Sundays. I go food shopping early that morning, around 8:30ish and then come back and we clean (hopefully) the entire apt.

OK, commenter #1, Kristen and I are twins! I do the exact same thing. It takes a little while on Thursday evenings to get it done, but I tell myself if I stay up a little later, I get my weekend back.

We clean on Saturday so we can 'rest' on Sundays and so coming home during the week after work isnt stressful. I'll still pick up here & there and do dishes every night though.

If I was home during the day I'm sure it would be different though! lol

sundays...normally we have something planned saturday and friday night for that matter and youre right, by the time you work a full day, the LAST thing on your mind is straightening up....i grocery shop, do laundry and straighten up all on sunday and it helps me lounge around as well since we dont plan anything that day :) good luck!

Love the print, I want that on the fridge:)
We don't really have schedule, but now that I'm on maternity leave I try to get things done during the week, but that doesn't always happen.

I don't have a specific cleaning day because I never know what we are going to end up having planned over the weekends, so I just try to keep the house picked up and uncluttered throughout the week. I will try to make sure the dishes are done and things are put away/picked up each night after work. I usually do laundry (my favorite chore because you just leave it alone while it gets cleaned) a couple nights throughout the week. For the deep cleaning, I usually do it on Sundays, Sunday evenings or even on Mondays because I don't work on Mondays usually. Clean sheets are the best way to start my work week so I do them on Sundays or Mondays, depending on when I have time.

I have that desk in black and have had it for 4 years and it still looks perfect.

I like to do what I call a "speed clean" every day. I thought about blogging about this.

A speed clean is where I allow myself 1-2 hours to get as much done as possible. I do one room at a time, and I don't stop for anything. For example, I'll go into the living room with my supplies, I will windex, dust, vacuum and straighten before leaving. It takes me about 15 minutes per room.

I'm try to get most of my cleaning done every day--quickly!

I know that doesn't help really, but you could do a speed clean for 1 hour every night and stay caught up!

I always have to play catch up on the weekend! It stinks and I wish I didn't have to..but I can't seem to find the time or motivation during the week! :)
